Barberà del Vallès Centre

Barberà del Vallès Centre

If last week we opened the doors of our centre in Martorelles, on this occasion, we want to open the doors of our handling centre in Barberà del Vallès.

Planeta de Agostini is one of our oldest clients, as we started working with them when Grupo Akoma was founded. Seven years ago they wanted to centralise all their activity in a single centre in Spain with distribution all over the world, this centre is located in Barberà del Vallès. Since then, Grupo Akoma has been in charge of handling.

Four years later, thanks to Grupo Akoma, Planeta de Agostini had gained a significant competitive advantage, since, having robotised most of the production processes, production costs were greatly reduced.

At that time, in order to improve SLA ratios, the Akoma Group proposed moving from a push model (in which the logistics operator leads the client's requests and designs the work planning for handling) to a pull model (in which we directly receive the client's requests and organise the request for the material from the logistics operator). This model, in addition to improving all production KPIs, has been used as an example for other projects.

Today, at Gupo Akoma we manage both the handling and logistics management of its more than 30,000 pallets in custody, with a daily movement of 1,200 pallets and dispatching more than 100,000 handled units per day.
